Level 2 Award in the Prevention and Control of Infection for Housekeeping (RQF)
The objective of this qualification is to support a role in the workplace and is aimed at team members working in the hospitality industry needing to develop their underpinning knowledge of how to prevent and control the spread of infection in their workplace.
The content of this qualification includes common infections, correct hand washing procedures, principles of personal protective equipment, the decontamination process, waste management procedures and roles and responsibilities in preventing infection.
How long will it take me to achieve this qualification?
This qualification is usually achieved by completing approximately 6 guided learning hours.
How is the qualification assessed?
This qualification is assessed by a 20-question, multiple-choice question test.
Individuals achieving this qualification can undertake one of the following:
· Highfield Level 2 Award in Health and Safety within Health and Social Care Settings (RQF)
· Highfield Level 2 Award in Risk Assessment (RQF)
· Highfield Level 3 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (RQF)
· Highfield Level 3 Award in Effective Auditing and Inspection
